Position Overview

Calian is preparing a pool of qualified candidates for future full-time opportunities as Water, Fuels, and Environment Technicians (WFE Tech) to support environmental and infrastructure operations in defense and security settings. These roles are well suited to individuals with technical backgrounds in civil, chemical, or environmental technologies and an interest in applying their knowledge in practical, safety-focused environments.

This opportunity includes paid training, structured career growth, and the chance to contribute to critical environmental operations on behalf of national defense.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Support fuel storage, handling, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Conduct basic inspections and tests for water quality, spill response, and compliance.
• Assist in maintaining environmental protection systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Environmental Technician/Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of water systems, environmental practices, and infrastructure.
• Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors and in technical environments.
• Willingness to learn and follow regulatory and environmental standards.

Ideal Candidates May Be:

• Recent or upcoming graduates from college or trades programs
• Interested in structured roles with training and advancement potential
• Open to relocation or working across different regions in Canada
• Canadian citizens or permanent residents
