Calian is assembling a talent pool for future full-time opportunities as Refrigeration and Mechanical Systems Technicians (HVAC/R Tech) to support facilities and operational environments in defense-related settings. These roles are ideal for individuals with HVAC/R or mechanical systems training who are interested in hands-on, safety-conscious work environments with long-term growth potential.

This opportunity includes paid training, ongoing technical development, and structured advancement opportunities within national defense infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of mechanical and refrigeration components.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support system diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (e.g., refrigerant handling).
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or diploma or certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechanical Technician, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC/R systems, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
