Position Overview
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing forecast, budgeting and analytical reporting support as a partner to identified business unit(s) and to the Director, FP&A.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed project gross margin analysis for on-going and new contracts
- Prepare costing templates and pricing models for business units to support bidding strategies
- Analyze standard cost variances on existing projects
- Analyze and perform controls on project and business unit month end results
- Prepare budget and forecasting templates and assist business unit managers in budgeting and forecasting process
- Maintain backlog reporting information and analysis
- Identify and communicate findings or viewpoints to optimize processes and business unit performance
- Build and maintain relationships with business unit partners and back-office support
- Support continuous improvements in financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years in financial planning and analysis
- Technical skills with financial modeling and analytical tools; expert in Excel; ERP and BI tool proficiency essential (Power BI a plus). Experience with ERP software desirable (SAP a plus)
- Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting financial data and delivering actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and driving impactful financial solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Inquisitive and able to work in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all facets of reporting and analysis.
- Thrives in a changing/evolving environment

- Must be eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance
