Position Overview

Calian IT & Cyber Solutions (ITCS) is looking for an experienced **Principal Consultant – Cyber Security (Presales)** to help shape the future of our Cyber Security services. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with our Sales team to identify client needs and design solutions that demonstrate our value and innovation. Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Solution Design

  • Work directly with clients during the Presales phase to identify needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Lead discovery sessions and design tailored Cyber Security solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Develop clear and compelling solution architectures, proposals, and technical presentations.

Presales Strategy & Support

  • Partner with Sales to craft and execute winning strategies.
  • Deliver product demos, proof-of-concepts, and articulate technical value to diverse audiences.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and other client inquiries with thoughtful, well-positioned content.

Thought Leadership & Innovation

  • Keep pace with Cyber Security trends, technologies, and emerging threats.
  • Promote best practices in solution design and client engagement.
  • Identify innovative approaches that differentiate our offerings in the market.

Service Offering Development

  • Collaborate across Delivery and Product teams to refine our Cyber Security portfolio.
  • Create service packages that meet evolving market demands and highlight Calian’s unique value.
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market collateral and enablement tools.

Knowledge Sharing & Representation

  • Represent Calian ITCS as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and online forums.
  • Produce whitepapers, presentations, and content that showcase our expertise.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning internally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • 10+ years of Cyber Security experience, including proven Presales and solution design success.
  • Deep understanding of Cyber Security frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence clients, particularly at the executive level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify the complex.
  • Project management expertise with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with mentoring experience.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Security or Machine Learning) are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

  • This role requires strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • You’ll regularly encounter complex client challenges—your ability to analyze business needs, weigh technical options, and build tailored solutions will be essential.
  • Resourcefulness, innovation, and a proactive mindset are key to succeeding in this role.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client engagements and industry events.
