Position Overview
Calian is seeking Military Occupation Instructors – Cook Specialty to support our client, the Department of National Defence (DND). This opportunity offers full-time hours on a casual employment basis.

As an Instructor with the Military Management Training & Faculty Support (MMT&FS) program, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction and mentorship to Canadian Armed Forces personnel. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all instructional activities with the assigned Course Director (CD) and Incremental Staff (IS)
- Enhance and contribute to course curriculum using personal professional experience and academic expertise
- Develop and grade student assessments in alignment with provided rubrics and the Cook Course Training Plan
- Deliver clear, written orientation and weekly instructions to students ahead of each week’s learning activities
- Provide written group feedback at the end of each week, highlighting key takeaways, their relevance to the broader course and military profession, and addressing any common challenges observed within student groups
- Instruct in the Content Area
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years experience instructing in the content area (Cook)
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working (not as an instructor) in the content area
- Hold a valid Standard First Aid certification
Additional Requirements
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
- You will be required to work on site
