Position Overview
Calian is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Analyst to join our Learning Solutions team in support of Defence programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure and demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving complex technical issues while collaborating effectively with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and recommend solutions related to IT infrastructure operations and services.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain IT work processes, operational standards, and technical guidelines.
- Perform administration tasks on Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems.
- Operate in virtualized IT environments to ensure effective business operations support.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of technical equipment as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure reliable IT service delivery.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or a related field.
- Experience analyzing requirements and recommending solutions for IT infrastructure operations and services.
- Experience installing and maintaining IT infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving IT infrastructure issues with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience developing IT work processes, standards, or guidelines.
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems.
- Experience working in virtualized IT environments to support business operations.
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Willingness and ability to occasionally work overtime, often on short notice.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
- Willingness and ability to use visual acuity and manual dexterity for equipment installation, including the use of hearing, sight, and smell to detect and repair issues.
- Willingness and ability to perform various physical tasks for extended periods, including crouching, kneeling, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting heavy or awkward equipment.
