This is an onsite role based in Ottawa (Kanata), offering a 4 or 8 month co-op term
Position Overview
As a Marketing Co-op student, you will support the Calian GNSS marketing team by creating and managing content, developing promotional materials, and enhancing our digital presence. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-tech B2B environment while contributing to global marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of direct and indirect distribution marketing collateral, including brochures, product sheets, presentations, case studies and videos.
- Support social media management for Calian GNSS by planning, creating, and scheduling posts across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Help review and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support marketing and launch campaigns.
- Collaborate with the channel success sales manager and product management team to develop engaging content that highlights our products and industry expertise.
- Assist in coordinating webinars, trade show materials, and virtual events with marketing coordination manager.
- Analyze social media and website analytics to measure engagement and effectiveness.
- Support the creation of email marketing campaigns and electronic direct mailers.
- Help manage digital assets, including photos, videos, and brand materials
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills with an ability to create compelling content.
- Experience with social media platforms and content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is an asset.
- Knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an asset.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media and website metrics.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning and collaboration
