Aperçu du poste
L’étudiant en ingénierie des satellites travaille en partenariat avec l’équipe d’ingénierie, qui est basée à Saint-Hubert (Québec) et qui exploite une flotte d’engins spatiaux. Vous apprendrez à surveiller et à conserver la qualité de la mission et les performances de l’orbite, à mettre en place des mesures de récupération d’urgence, à maintenir les configurations matérielles et logicielles, ainsi qu’à identifier les améliorations et à conserver la documentation pertinente.
Responsabilités
- Participer aux opérations et au suivi des activités prévues pour garantir l’état de fonctionnement du satellite et tenir des registres à jour
- Participer à la surveillance de l’évolution de l’orbite, à la maintenance régulière de l’orbite et aux activités d’évitement des collisions
- Fournir un soutien en temps réel pour la mise en œuvre d’activités satellites spéciales et de contingence confirmant la réussite de l’exécution des activités ou l’identification d’anomalies dans le comportement des satellites
Compétences
- Diplôme d’ingénieur de trois ans, de préférence en aérospatiale, en électricité, en mécanique, ou en physique et astronomie
- Une maîtrise parfaite de l’anglais parlé et écrit est requise ; le français est un atout.
- Une expérience dans un ou plusieurs des éléments suivants serait un atout :
- Systèmes de contrôle
- Systèmes de radiofréquence
- Systèmes d’alimentation électrique
- Mécanique orbitale
- Système d’exploitation Linux
- Systèmes de gestion de bases de données
- Intelligence artificielle et apprentissage automatique
- Compétences en programmation (Python, Java, SQL, Perl, Matlab, C)
- Vous devez être en mesure de satisfaire aux exigences du Programme canadien des marchandises contrôlées.
- Vous devez être en mesure d’obtenir une cote de fiabilité du gouvernement au niveau secret

Position Overview
The Satellite Engineering Student works hand-in-hand with the engineering team, which is based in Saint-Hubert Quebec and operates a fleet of spacecraft. You will learn to monitor and maintain mission health and orbit performance, implement contingency recoveries, maintain hardware and software configurations, as well as identify improvements and keep relevant all documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with operations and monitoring of scheduled activities to ensure satellite health and maintain logging records
- Assist with the monitoring of orbit evolution, routine orbit maintenance and collision avoidance activities
- Provide assistance for real time support for the implementation of special and contingency satellite activities confirming successful activity execution or identifying anomalous satellite behaviour
Qualifications
- Successful completion of three years in an Engineering degree preferably in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Physics and Astronomy
- Fluent knowledge of both spoken and written English is required and French is an asset
- Experience with one or more of the following elements would be an asset:
- Control systems,
- Radio frequency systems,
- Electrical power systems,
- Orbital mechanics,
- Linux operating system,
- Database management systems,
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning,
- Programming skills (Python, Java, SQL, Perl, Matlab, C)
- You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level
