The Associate Program Manager will provide support and coordination for Patient Support Programs (PSPs) and work with the Program Manager to deliver programs to meet defined expectations, deadlines and requests. This is a key supportive role in various tasks including: reporting, research, training development, translation, communication and various other tasks to ensure program delivery.

Accountabilities

  • Assisting the Program Manager in coordinating program activities.
  • Providing support in answering emails and program inquiries.
  • Assisting in performing such tasks as quality control checks, report generation, research and training development.
  • Assisting program management in resolving issues and problems.
  • Communicating with program management on administrative matters related to the programs.
  • Assisting in the preparation and coordination of documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, returns and observations to update management of program progress.
  • Constantly seeking out and presenting ideas around continuous improvement and optimizing performance across the programs, functionally and technically.
  • Identifying opportunities to continuously drive efficiencies to increase productivity and progress, increase profitability, and increase program efficiency.
  • Ordering, inventory management, packaging, picking, shipping and tracking of medical supplies.
  • Processing orders for medical supplies and promotional materials.
  • Collecting necessary data to support reimbursement cases and ensuring that all avenues to obtain public/private reimbursement are explored.
  • Effectively coordinating with clinics, insurers and clients, and creating and escalating case appeals to appropriate sources.
  • Providing patients with initial high-level product information at the time of enrolment.
  • Fulfil other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • English and French bilingualism is an asset (oral and written).
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a Science based program, with relative experience.
  • Nursing designation is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Health Care organization industries working with Patient Support Programs.
  • Understanding of research and development processes for Pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience liaising with clients and various cross functional teams.
  • Proficiency using computerized information systems, internet, Microsoft Office applications, and electronic spreadsheets is required.

Working Conditions and / or Job Requirements:

  • Must possess mobility to work in an office environment and use standard office equipment, including a computer (finite movements such as typing), telephoning and other office functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires mental stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of time, including weekend or overnight, and to work extended hours to support operations requirements.
