About the role

We are looking to hire a Junior Flight Simulator engineer to join our team and develop themselves to become a Flight Simulator Engineer, part of a team responsible for the ongoing Maintenance of our flight simulators at our Doha operation. In this role you this role you will perform routine Flight Simulator Training Device support technical tasks, under supervision from a Support Engineer. You will receive training on the various aspects of training system Support. You will be working alongside a team of 10 engineers to ensure that all Training Devices are maintained as per their qualification standard and in line with quality guidelines and procedures. In addition to the defined job functions, you may also be required to carry out other duties that may be reasonably required for the smooth operation of the Training Center Operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Acquire basic familiarity and knowledge on all aspects of training systems, support technical work with a focus on the completion of routine activities, such as the Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs), Daily Readiness.

• Perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs), Daily Readiness (DR), Recurrent QTG runs, t. Keep the associated records up to date. Action deficiencies associated with these tasks.

• Accountable to maintain, keep track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness.

• perform low level troubleshooting of issues on the training devices, using schematics, and aircraft/device system documentation.

• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to record, track, review, & update deficiencies & maintenance activities.

• Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories, re-arrangement of stores, packing and preparation for shipping, etc… Perform housekeeping and administrative functions, or other tasks as reasonably required.

• Comply with local & global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures. Exercise duty of care for own H&S, and that of others who may be affected by his/her work.

About you

• Candidates must already be resident in Doha with existing rights to work.

• You must hold a Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Field.

• Good knowledge of the English Language, both spoken and written.

• Able to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules and shift patterns.

• Basic understanding of Electro-Mechanical Terminology.

• Able to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to Electro-Mechanical systems.

• Basic computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc…)

• Basic knowledge of computer networking.

• No prior work experience required – fresh graduates are welcomed!
