About This Role

The Product

The MADXR (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) is the latest generation of avionics system installed onboard surveillance airplanes and helicopters which allows for real time detection of submarines (hyperlink to product demo). The system has successfully demonstrated performance during test flights and is entering high volume production rate. Our engineering team is faced with the challenge of standardizing the product to enable mass production.

Job Summary

As part of the hardware engineering team, you will play a key role in the identification of requirements, definition, implementation, automation, and analysis of the production tests for the MAD-XR product. You will play a central role in improving the production test sequence with the objective to allow producing the MADXR in high volume while ensuring the quality of the product is maintained. Joining an inter-disciplinary team composed of electronics, avionics and mechanical engineers, you will be tasked to analyze the existing design and test sequence and identify improvements that will allow testing elements of the system at earlier stage, in more detail and more efficiently. You will implement a variety of tests (environment developed in C++) used to drive the test equipment. You will also contribute to the identification and implementation of strategies that will allow increasing the pass rate of the product. You will support the Hardware Lead and Program Manager from a testing point of view to ensure the solutions developed are coherent and functional to meet product development and milestone deliveries. This includes liaison with various CAE groups such as Production, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Global Strategic Sourcing as well as external suppliers.
