The role we are offering:
The incumbent of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning the company's objectives with those of employees and management of CAE Civil Aviation groups in Canada. The incumbent oversees the delivery of HR services such as talent management, engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management and change management and for providing operational advice and support.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding day‑to‑day HR inquiries.
Support the investigation of low‑complexity employee relations cases by gathering information and documenting findings.
Assist leaders in preparing for performance reviews, talent discussions, and career development conversations.
Contribute to the implementation of HR action plans, programs, and projects aligned with business objectives.
Help identify workforce‑related issues (e.g., skills development, retention, motivation) and support the development and execution of initiatives to address operational challenges and build leadership capability.
Participate in the roll‑out of change management plans and proactively influence key stakeholders across CAE.
Provide recommendations and insights to enhance employee engagement and overall workplace culture.
Partner with leaders in the application of HR programs, policies, and procedures (including compensation, training, employee relations, performance management, and succession planning) to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & skills :
Bachelor's degree in human resources.
3-5 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing Human Resources environment.
Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy, tact and high ethical standards.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written - French and English) combined with good organizational and presentation skills.
The incumbent must have good problem-solving skills in order to act as an internal advisor and a guide for the management team and for employees with regard to all human resources-related matters.
Good customer service skills complemented with sound judgment and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and of human resources information systems (HRIS).
