The role we are offering you:
Finance manager is responsible for managing the finance around the global digital initiatives (GDI) by overseeing actuals, forecasting, and budgeting as well as variance analysis. This role provides key financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
Ready to:
Review and understand the financial component (business case) of the corporate investment portfolio and support the implementation of a recurring governance framework to monitor and report on the operational and financial KPIs committed in previously approved business cases.
Provide accurate financial insights on the global digital initiatives’ portfolio helping supporting CAE's strategic goals and drive long-term growth.
Through accurate/effective forecasting and budgeting, ensures proper governance, deliver holistic view and strong tracking over the financials aspect of the GDI.
Proactively identify cost‑reduction opportunities and overspending risks, and challenge business units using run‑rate analysis.
Ensure corporate policies and procedures impacting Finance are being carefully applied (Primarily on the approval of Business cases - Threshold, Project opening, capitalized vs. non capitalized costs, as well as process and approvals requirements around ''changes order'').
Deliver a comprehensive assessment of the requirements needed to perform a full monthly (or quarterly) reconciliation of all intangible assets across CAE.
Deliver monthly Forecast of R&D Tech portfolio.
Develop a thorough understanding of which project activities qualify for capitalization and be able to clearly articulate those that do not.
Report on the global Intangible spent and the investment outside Corporate headquarter.
Support and help track key transformation initiatives.
Be the Finance Point of contact to support the R&D Tech budget process.
Responsible to deliver forecast of amortization of intangibles (Quarterly deliverable)
Our ideal candidate has:
CPA Accounting title.
8 years’ experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing / operational environment.
Experience in management.
Experience in preparation of investment business cases .
Experience in budgeting, gap analysis, monthly forecasting and preparation of presentations to executive members.
Excellent analysis skills and ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
Good communication skills at all hierarchical levels.
Excellent knowledge of Excel and of the Planisware system.
Autonomous, rigorous and customer-oriented.
Bilingual (French and English).
