Join CAE’s Commercial Aviation Training team as Group Leader Human Resources at our Flight Training Centre in Amsterdam (Schiphol), where you will act as a trusted coach and advisor, guiding leaders through challenges and instigating positive change within their teams. You will build strong strategic partnerships with managers, supporting day to day people matters as well as key business initiatives.


In this role, you will mentor and develop a HR Generalist as part of your team while collaborating closely with an EMEA based HR team, reporting to the Senior Manager HR in the UK. Working in close partnership with HR Centres of Excellence and HR Business Operations, you will lead and coordinate all HR activities locally, ensuring alignment with regional and global frameworks while meeting site specific needs.


Description

  • Lead and deliver a value added local HR proposition aligned with CAE’s regional and global frameworks, tailored to local business and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Dutch employment legislation, maintaining up to date policies, procedures, and employment practices. Sustain an in-depth knowledge of employment law, compliance programs, stay abreast of current events, policies, and offer guidance to leaders.
  • Provide expert advice to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, terminations, and labour court coordination.
  • Build strong strategic partnerships with leaders, supporting day to day people matters and key initiatives while driving engagement, retention, and the development of high performing teams through data informed insights.
  • Review and report on compensation and benefit plans to ensure appropriate and competitive remuneration; oversee payroll service delivery and personnel administration covering pensions, employment related insurances, and vendor management (e.g., AON, Nationale Nederlanden, ADP, ArboNed), as well as contract negotiation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to leaders on application of compensation programs, competitive pay practices, and total rewards, ensuring the company remains competitive internally and externally while attracting, retaining, and motivating top Talent

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven HR Business Partnering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment law.
  • Strong HR advisory and communication skills, with experience partnering with leadership teams.
  • Proven experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of compensation frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent written and spoken Dutch.
  • Previous experience guiding and mentoring other team members with a focus on their development.
  • Experience collaborating with HR COEs and HR Business Operations in a matrix organization.
  • Experience working in an international environment and with global teams in a fast paced, operational context.
