About This Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Flight Simulator Instructor to join our elite training team, specializing in the Gulfstream G550 platform. The successful candidate will deliver simulator and ground school instruction to professional pilots, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and instructional excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver recurrent, and upgrade training on G550 Full Flight Simulators (FFS).
  • Conduct thorough preflight briefings, post-session debriefings, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and update lesson plans, courseware, and training materials tailored to pilot proficiency levels.
  • Maintain simulator documentation and support the development of new training courses.
  • Serve as Examiner and assist the Chief Flight Simulator Instructor as needed.

Compliance

  • Adhere to ECFT/CAE policies and procedures during all training activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory authority-approved programs and training standards.

Briefing and De-Briefing

  • Conduct all simulator briefings in a positive, thorough, and professional manner.
  • Identify and document deviations from SOPs, procedures and address them during debriefings.

Training

  • Review client Training and Checking Authorization forms prior to instruction.
  • Provide simulator instruction on one or more aircraft types, requiring 4+ hours per session (excluding briefing/debriefing).
  • Conduct classroom instruction using Simfinity, CBT, IPT, or stand-up lectures (8–10 hours per day).
  • Support the development and certification of training curriculum and devices (simulators, FTDs, FMS aids).
  • Attain FAA/EASA ground school and simulator instructor designation within 12 months.
  • Obtain qualifications to serve as an Examiner under the relevant authority.
  • Perform Right Seat Support Duties as required.
  • Complete training records, recommend remedial training, and track personal instructional qualifications.
  • Prepare and inspect classroom facilities and equipment prior to each training day.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred Gulfstream G550 type rating. Or other business jet type rating (current flight experience preferred).
  • Preferred ATPL(EASA/FAA) with Instrument Rating.
  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flying time
  • Prior simulator instructing experience preferred.
  • Minimum ICAO English Level 5 (Level 6 preferred).
  • No history of failed IOSA audits, hazardous occurrences, or disciplinary/criminal records.
