Summary
This position is in the Finance Group and supports the Business Development Operations Group. This is an entry-level position and entails assignments of low scope and complexity. Uses a variety of standard methods and techniques in solving problems. Assists senior and junior estimators. Will be responsible for preparing cost and price estimates on proposals for training products and services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. Effort includes developing basis of estimates and assisting with what-if analyses. Supports management reviews and interfaces with engineering, supply chain and program management departments. Assists with developing, maintaining, and improving estimating methods and processes. Prepares and maintains historical cost data.

Responsible for supporting the preparation of estimates on proposals of low to medium complexity.
Assists Senior Pricing Analysts on large/complex proposals.
Interfaces with Marketing, Capture, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other stakeholders for functional estimation activities.
Reviews Requests For Proposal (RFPs) to determine customer requirements and assists with development of compliant responses.
Participates in cost estimation meetings and answers questions involving internal/external customers.
Generates substantiated basis of estimates (BOEs).
Prepares written cost portions of cost/price presentations.
Interfacing with fellow Pricing Analysts and other department personnel is essential.
Requires demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-pasted environment, supporting proposal deadlines.
Support make/buy decisions.
Assists with generating cost/price related questions to the RFP and reviews responses from customers to assess the impact.
Ensures commonality, consistency, and reuse across proposals.
Supports price and FAR proposal reviews.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or another related field
Minimum 2 years of cost/price estimating experience in a technical environment or minimum of 1 year experience in a technical environment with an advanced degree
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries and issues
Ability to generate effective oral and written presentations on complex subjects
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret complex customer requirements from verbal and written communication
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract ideas

Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
