Position Overview
As a Program Manager on the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, you will support the Program Management effort for CAE’s multibillion-dollar contract. Sounds like something you are up to? That’s why we need you to be part of our team.

The role we are offering you:
Reporting directly to the Director of FAcT and Acquisition Programs, the Program Manager has overall responsibility for the Ground-Based Training System, a suite of aircrew training simulators, delivery (cost, schedule, scope and quality)
Lead, influence and develop a team of professional project managers to ensure that customer requirements are met within time, cost, scope and quality constraints
Autonomously manage the execution of the program guided by broad organizational strategic objectives and project management methodology
Responsible and accountable for the FAcT GBTS P&L including budget and forecast planning
Review and manage program schedule, scope, progress, risk, and major milestones with project managers and line departments
Act as prime customer contact on all GBTS project matters for negotiations, issue escalation, contractual, commercial, etc.
Manage relationships, communications and negotiations with customers and stakeholders (internal/external) as required
Increase profitability by identifying business opportunities with the customer and lead or support materializing those opportunities though the Lead to Award Process
Lead governance activities with executive management
Strive to achieve year over year optimization and continuous improvement of operations within the department and the program
Our ideal candidate has:
University undergraduate degree. (Business Administration, Commerce, or in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Applied Sciences or a related field of study)
At least eight 15 years of relevant experience in related field, including at least 8 years of project management responsibility
Proven track record of leadership, managing a team and implementing complex programs
Master product lifecycle and project management best practices
PMP certification or equivalent accreditation is required
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Motivated by innovations, keeps abreast of the latest technological developments
Great agility to adapt to complex situations, frequent changes and numerous clients, both internal and external, while remaining focused on the objectives of its projects
Willingness to travel on a regular basis (25%)
Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance
Eligible to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit
Master degree such as an MBA is an asset
Experience in aviation and knowledge of other manufacturers simulator technology are an asset
Good knowledge of the financial system, an asset
General knowledge of the Canadian Defence and Security sector, flight training operations, aeronautical domain and flight simulators, an asset
Bilingualism (French and English) is required
