The role we are offering you:
The PM ISS Setup is The ISS Setup PM role oversees all the ISS setup for the CAE workshare in Moose Jaw to establish the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) and Flight Training Organization (FTO) for both the Grob 120TP and PC-21 fleets as part of the Transition-In activities for FAcT. As such, the FAcT ISS Setup PM will need to manage requirements and delivery of all activities to establish the ISS activities for the life of the FAcT Program. This will also require the ISS Setup PM to be the CAE stakeholder representative to aircraft acquisition activities undertaken by SkyAlyne. Therefore, the ISS Setup PM will interact with key stakeholders within CAE, with SkyAlyne and the Government of Canada and other FAcT Enterprise members such as KF Aero and aircraft OEMs Grob and Pilatus as well as local suppliers.
The ISS Setup PM will be accountable for the project scope, cost, risk, schedule, and other aspects to the CAE FAcT program director through the FAcT Transition-In Manager. The ISS Setup PM will be required to brief all aspects of the project to senior management of both CAE and SkyAlyne. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring the FAcT ISS Setup activities are manage in parallel to the current NFTC Transition-Out activities. Assist and plan in the recruitment activities to be synchronized with the Industrial Technological Benefits (ITB) and Indigenous Participation Plan (IPP) commitments and stakeholders.
The PM ISS Setup will be expected to:
- Manage the planning and execution of the ISS Setup for the Moose Jaw AMO and FTO for both Grob 120TP and PC-21 fleets
- Manage stakeholders through proper reporting and communications to internal and external stakeholders with different agendas
- Define and control project scope to ensure CAE can deliver in line with agreed workshare
- Participate, produce and deliver various project governance as per CAE’s normal project and program review cycles Develop effective program documentation and briefings
- Contribute to the overall Program Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown Structure, Earned Value Management System and other standard PM tools and technique
Our ideal candidate has:
- College or University degree in engineering, management or combined experience and education
- PMP or equivalent
- Defence & Security or related program experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Good communication skills and ability to present complex scenarios to a wide range of audiences in both English and French
- Proven problem solver who accepts ownership and accountability
- Able to work collaboratively across organizations
Desirable Qualifications:
- Post-Grad an asset
- Prior military service an asset
- Aircraft entry into service experience an asset
- Experience working in or leading an AMO and/or FTO an asset
- Experience in PM within or dealing with the Government of Canada on programs >$100M
- Experience and/or education in Complex Program Management an asset
