Job Description:
As a 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for developing 3D assets for Land/Air/Marine simulation projects using latest gaming industry-standard practices like low/high poly 3D modeling, high-resolution texture with optimized UV unwrapping etc. You will work with a team of artists and designers to create high-quality assets that meets the project needs.
Role And Responsibilities:
- Reviews, evaluates and estimates from the database design document outlining features of visual scene, for submission to customer
- Defines content/features of visual scene in collaboration with Team Lead and Group Lead.
- Designs airport features and geographical surroundings using graphic software tools with minimal supervision.
- Tests visual databases for performance and quality
- Modifies and edits database design using software tools.
- May lead simple projects under supervision.
- Responsible for doing independent quality validation on the databases.
- Responsible to ensure that scheduled delivery dates and allocated budgets are met for each of the databases.
- Responsible to learn all aspects of development and increase technical competency.
- Understanding the project requirements and conceptualizing creative ideas.
- Receiving feedback from team and clients, and editing creations based on the comments received.
- Troubleshooting any problems that arise during work on a project.
- Stay up to date on the latest 3D technology and recommending improvements in current processes.
Required Experience/Skills:
- College degree/diploma or equivalent in 3D computer graphics / 3D animation specialization.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of demonstrated infield experience. Experience in gaming industry is highly preferable.
- Reliable, focused, and detail oriented.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Maya, Blender, and 3ds Max.
- Proficiency in game ready texturing tool such as Photoshop or other image editing software.
- Experience with advance texturing tool like Substance Suite is a bonus.
- Knowledge of Presagis Creator (Low poly modelling tool for real-time simulation applications) is an added advantage.
- Experience of Game Engines like Unreal and Unity is an added advantage.
