BWXT is currently seeking an Analyst, Investor Relations for its Charlotte, NC location!

The Investor Relations Analyst at BWXT plays a pivotal role in enhancing the company's communication strategy by effectively conveying its financial performance and strategic initiatives to investors and the financial community. Responsible for analyzing financial data and market trends, the analyst prepares comprehensive reports and presentations that highlight BWXT's operational successes and growth potential. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the individual ensures that investor communications, such as earnings releases and investor presentations, are accurate and impactful. With a focus on fostering investor confidence, the Analyst serves as a key liaison between BWXT and its stakeholders, contributing to the company's commitment to transparency and excellence in investor relations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports by gathering and analyzing financial data from various departments and systems.
  • Creates and maintain financial models to analyze trends in revenues, expenses, and other key metrics.
  • Generates comprehensive reports that consolidate data into actionable insights for management and investors, explaining both positive and negative variances from projections

Analyst and Investor Communication:

  • Assists in drafting investor facing materials including press releases, earnings call scripts, and investor presentations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and corporate messaging.
  • Manages the company’s investor relations website and ensure all information is up-to-date and accessible, including financial documents, presentations, and FAQs.

Research and Preparation:

  • Conducts in-depth research on industry trends, financial markets, and comparative company performance, utilizing various databases, sell-side equity research and online resources.
  • Monitors news and reports relevant to the company and its competitors, providing regular summaries to the Investor Relations team and senior management.
  • Supports the development of management presentations by compiling research findings and key business insights.

Event Coordination:

  • Assists in organizing and executing investor roadshows, conferences, and meetings, coordinating logistics such as venue selection, travel arrangements, and material preparation.
  • Prepares presentation materials for investor interactions and ensures presenters are well-equipped and informed about the content and objectives.

Collaboration:

  • Works closely with finance, marketing, legal, and senior management teams to gather insights and prepare comprehensive communications for investors.
  • Participates in cross-departmental meetings to discuss ongoing projects and provide support to ensure alignment with investor relations goals and initiatives.
  • Assists on special projects such as M&A activities and other initiatives aimed at improving shareholder value.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, sell-side or buy-side investment research, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial modeling, data analysis, and valuation techniques.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to operate under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Basic understanding of investment concepts and knowledge of market dynamics.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of financial market data software (e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ, Factset).

Pay: $56,000 - $88,000

The base salary range for this position in North Carolina (US-NC) at the start of employment is expected to be between $56,000 and $88,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
