Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Demand Planning

- Role Summary -

We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and collaborative planner to manage end-to-end planning activities — including demand planning, supply planning, backorder management, inventory optimization, KPI performance, and lead the SI&OP process. This role plays a critical part in enabling product availability, driving efficiency, and aligning key functions across the business.

- Key Responsibilities -

Demand & Supply Planning

• Generate accurate forecasts by analyzing historical trends using statistics and combining with commercial insights.
• Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance to align assumptions
• Communiate changes in assumptions with clarity for both demand and supply to key stakeholders.

Backorder & Inventory Management

• Monitor back orders and communicate risks, opportunities, and trade-offs clearly

• Optimize inventory health and reduce excess/aging stock

S&OP Lead

• Prepare demand/supply input for S&OP cycles
• Facilitate the SI&OP meeting, gaining alignment in discussions and track decisions/actions.
• Manage conflicts and maintain strong relationships across functions

KPI Ownership & Analysis

• Track forecast accuracy, bias, service level, DIOH, EEO, and BO metrics
• Identify root causes and recommend improvement actions

Project & Process Improvement

• Drive planning process enhancements and standardization
• Support digital tools, reporting, and automation initiatives

- Skills & Qualifications -

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Masters in Business Administration (preferred but not required)
• 3–7 years of experience in demand/supply planning or supply chain roles
• APICS/CPIM or CSCP certification (preferred but not required)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Lean six sigma certifications (preferred but not required)
• Experience with planning systems (SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis, or similar)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Native or fluent Japanese.
