Location: based in our offices in Milan, on a hybrid working schedule (3 days/week in the office + 2 days/week working from home).

About the role:

As an Accountant in Boston Scientific you will perform a variety of complex duties in general accounting (such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and performing the monthly financial close activities) and Account Payables including compliance of sponsorship activities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Check of compliance for proposed Sponsorship initiatives.
• Account payable processing of Sponsorship invoices to grant timely payments.
• Laise with Shared-Service Team for queries regarding account payable processing.
• Month-End accruals and closing checks.
• Support the Accounting Team in the identification and resolution of issues and queries by interacting with Business Support team, Sales Divisions and Legal.
• Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Support yearly Transparency requirements.
• Assures financial accuracy by preparing accounting statements and reports.
• Support to SOX program.
• Ensure accuracy of various areas while performing month-end close including General ledger, accruals, VAT, Fixed Asset, Operating expense.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and procedures.
• Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement of processes.
• May collaborate with mixed groups or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals and respect of deadlines.
  

What are we looking for in you?

• Ideal 2+ years of experience in the Accounting activities (in multinational companies would be a plus)
• Ideal fluency in English (B2+ level).
• Very good skills in Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Eager to learn new tasks and to work in a stimulating working environment.
• Analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Good Communications skills.
• Good team player.
• Passionate and curiosity for finance and compliance matters.
