About the role:
This Project Management opportunity is within Coronary Therapies, supporting the dynamic and high-growth PCI Guidance product portfolio.

The Project Manager II will play an integral role in leading Sustaining projects within the Interventional Cardiology Vascular Therapy (ICVT) Division. Project scope includes all product support activities from initial launch through product end-of-life across ICVT business units and manufacturing sites.

Projects range from small, one-off efforts to large-scale initiatives, including:
● Process improvements
● Design changes
● Design transfers
● Line extensions
● Corporate initiatives driving global productivity

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local Arbor Lakes, MN office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project & program management
● Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects of varying scope, including schedule, scope, cost, and resources
● Develop and implement project plans, including cost, schedule, risk, and performance
● Monitor progress against business objectives and key goals
● Identify project priorities and resource needs in collaboration with cross-functional partners
● Identify, communicate, and manage technical challenges and business risks
● Drive results through speed, agility, and adaptability while ensuring clear authority and accountability
● Provide structured thinking and delegate appropriately to project teams
● Lead effective decision-making using strong judgment and analysis of options and implications
● Investigate and develop solutions to technical problems with project teams
● Maintain direct control over activities and budgets across projects, product groups, or functional areas
● Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment
● Provide timely project updates to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership

Communication
● Own team-level and cross-functional communications
● Elevate critical business decisions to appropriate management boards and functional leaders
● Serve as liaison between project teams and the Franchise Leadership Team (FLT), as required

Relationship & people management
● Lead, coach, and support diverse and geographically dispersed team members
● Provide performance input to cross-functional managers and directors
● Build and maintain strong relationships with functional leaders
● Develop cohesive, collaborative cross-functional teams throughout all project lifecycle phases

Product & compliance management
● Direct and/or provide input on technical approaches to product design and process changes
● Direct and/or provide input on compliance updates to processes and systems
● Identify, communicate, and manage project risk
● Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements

Process management
● Apply PLCP lifecycle knowledge to deliver and maintain high-quality, high-impact deliverables
● Utilize quality systems to ensure product compliance throughout the lifecycle
● Actively review and recommend policy and practice improvements
● Influence cross-functional system effectiveness
● Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning input

Required qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or Project Management preferred)
● Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant field
● Experience leading small and large cross-functional project teams
● Willingness and ability to travel internationally (approximately 10%)
● Ability to work under minimal supervision

Preferred qualifications:
● Minimum of 8 years' experience in a relevant field
● PMP certification
● Prior sustaining project experience
● Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site teams
● Strong organizational, execution, and communication skills
● Comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization and external customers
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
● Technical problem-solving expertise

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
