About the Role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Associate Program Manager to lead key programs in the WATCHMAN Program Management department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on geographically diverse teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

As Associate Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various projects to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the WATCHMAN Sustaining business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and timelines, and ensure that all projects meet organizational goals and requirements.

An ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys working in an exciting fast-paced environment, is innovative, technical, a strategic thinker, and demonstrates an understanding of the business. Should have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, a desire to win, and can collaborate effectively with divisional, regional and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.
  • Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
  • Prepare project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
  • Lead small to medium-sized multi-site cross-functional development teams effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed, action-oriented environment; able to work on a team, in person, and in a collaborative virtual setting.
  • Collaboratively works with cross-functional management teams on resourcing, development, and feedback of team members to align with strategic business needs and desired skill sets.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery or business objectives. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Resolve complex problems and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Adapt plans and processes to meet business, operational, service and/or project challenges; reprioritizes objectives, milestones, etc. as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading cross-functional project work in R&D, Process Development, Design Assurance or Operations.
  • Proven ability to lead virtual teams, manage multiple complex initiatives, influence across functions, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
  • Willingness to travel to BSC sites, vendors, customers as needed. Travel not expected to exceed 10%
  • Advanced English.
  • Submit Resume in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in medical device product development and a regulated industry.
