Summary
As part of the Commercial Excellence team, the Commercial Operations Specialist will support Thailand commercial teams by executing key business processes in sales and service operations, commercial analytics, reporting, and process optimization. This role will focus on delivering high-quality, efficient, and standardized services, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and harmonization across the region.
Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Execution
- Carry out essential commercial operations processes on behalf of Thailand commercial teams, in alignment with all applicable policies and Standard Operating Procedures (e.g. Tender Management policy). Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Represent Boston Scientific in dealings with the Bidding Agent and 4PL, and collaborate with both parties on all tender-related activities.
- Prepare and submit the Pre-bidding Tender Checklist, ensuring all necessary pre-bid approvals and authorizations are obtained from relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Sales team in reviewing and verifying the completeness of tender documents based on the Tender Documents Checklist before submission.
- Manage the flow of tender documents from the pre-bid phase through to the post-award stage, ensuring smooth handover from the Bidding Agent to the Sales Manager for centralized filing or depository.
- Facilitate contract preparation, ensuring all documents are reviewed and approved by the Legal & Compliance team.
- Coordinate with the Sales team and 4PL regarding the movement of Capital Equipment.
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Supply Chain teams to reconcile capital equipment records, ensuring alignment between physical inventory, financial data, and system records.
- Enhance visibility and transparency by conducting post-evaluation and placement analysis, as well as tracking revenue trends from capital equipment (rental/floater)
- Support the Sales team in coordinating with the Global Commercial Services team to manage and maintain master data (e.g., pricing, customer information).
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards for all assigned tasks.
- Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with country and area commercial teams to provide timely, accurate, and efficient support.
- Commercial Analytics & Reporting (Example: Win-loss analysis, market mapping)
- Generate and maintain regular commercial reports, dashboards, and business intelligence tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform data validation and accuracy checks to ensure high-quality reporting and analytics.
- Identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities within commercial data and processes.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend process automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements to enhance commercial operations.
- Support the adoption of digital tools, AI-driven analytics, and automation solutions to improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with process SMEs and global teams to harmonize workflows and best practices across APAC.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with country commercial and functional teams (including appointed third parties), APAC Commercial Excellence, Global Business Services (GBS), IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and alignment.
- Support monthly reviews with commercial leaders to track process performance, identify bottlenecks, and discuss enhancement opportunities.
- Act as a key point of contact for country teams, ensuring clear communication and responsive support.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales operations preferably in FMCG / Medical equipment / Pharmaceuticals company.
- Performance oriented, analytical, and sharp minded
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and BI. Familiarity with SAP is an advantage
