We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our HW group!
As a Mechanical Design Engineer on our team, your role will encompass the performance characterization and design of our next-generation multidisciplinary medical urology laser systems.
You will supervise the design process, covering mechanical requirements specification, feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling, conceptual and detailed mechanical design, detail drawings, DR’s & presentations, procurement and assembly of prototypes, POD’s, support prototype system integration and testing, and contribute to the product throughout all phases until its release.
Responsibilities:
- Member of the Mechanical R&D group in charge of the development & Design of Medical devices & systems.
- Mechanical design of Medical devices & laser systems, opto-mechanical subsystems, electro-mechanical subsystems and surgical applicators.
- Working on a multi-disciplinary project. collaborate with team members from other disciplines, system engineers, electrical engineers, physicists, clinical, product manufacturing, field support, and suppliers.
- Design of test fixtures/Jigs and tools.
- Author drawings, define fabrication process, materials, and finishing standards with detailed GD&T, and perform tolerance analysis.
- Provide product files, BOM & assembly instructions
- Documentation in PLM/PDM systems.
- Perform FEA simulations and analysis for design validation and troubleshooting.
- Present design reviews.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a known university.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the design of multi-disciplinary R&D projects.
- Highly proficient in the use of CAD software - SolidWorks
- Experience with different manufacturing technologies such as Plastics injection molding, Sheet Metal, CNC, 3D Printing, etc.
- Practical lab experience includes test setups and carrying out experiments
- Experience in the development of medical systems - an advantage
- Experience in the design of Opto-Mechanical systems - an advantage
- High presentation skills and fluent English
- Team player able to work in large, multi-disciplinary teams with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, fast learner
