Boston Scientific is looking for an experienced SAP E2E Architect Source to Pay and Interplant to support Magellan project (S4 HANA business transformation). This person will be the primary technical owner, which includes the design, build, and test of all technical architecture and support of SAP procurement (direct and indirect) and interplant processes and system functionality. In addition, the person will confirm that the necessary technical architecture components are ready to support program activities & lead the application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation, and confirm that the product fulfills the requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Will act as the technical expert for the S4 transformation in the Source to Pay and Interplant spaces, working with Transformation leads as part of an End-to-End Pillar
- Advocates and Drives adoption of tools, processes and methodologies using SCC (Supply Chain Collaboration), intercompany & intracompany processes and Interplant CSFG (Cross System Flow of goods) and associated capabilities between ECC and S4.
- Responsible for setting the technological best practices in the Source to Pay and Interplant spaces.
- Advises and is accountable for technical implementation processes within the Magellan Program, also responsible working with other Architects across other applications, functions and programs. Adhere to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements.
- Interface with and influence senior leadership up to and including VP's in the Program and Business, across multiple functions to help drive a successful end to the process.
- Directly influences building a supplier first engagement model which improves BSC supplier relationships, driving a competitive advantage.
- Working across the Source to Pay and Interplant E2E processes will require taking complex multi system processes and simplifying them for non-technical stakeholders to get adoption and understanding to drive buy-in. This will include business as well as technical stakeholders.
- The architect will be required to drive changes in areas outside its direct control so will need to influence steering committees and stakeholders up to and including VP level of the need to change and drive advocation.
- Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items
- Work closely with the SAP Run Team in the prioritization, testing, and deployment of system change requests and/or providing support.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and key business stakeholders to understand customer business processes and needs, incorporating this understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations.
- Evaluate business needs and recommend appropriate solutions that adhere to global design standards.
- Lead Source to Pay and Interplant workstream activities related to capturing business needs, developing solution approaches and designs, and implementing solutions, working with internal and external cross-functional teams.
- Partner with external parties and industry leaders like SAP to understand tool / industry best practices and then help to implement those appropriately.
- Designs, directs, improves efficiency and ease of use of SCC impact not only BSC internal operations, but that of critical external supply chain partners.
- Be a change agent in complex areas including covering quality impacting spaces like electronic certification and sign-off and financial and tax flows in the Source to Pay and Interplant spaces.
- Designs, directs, improves efficiency and ease of use of the cross systems flow of goods process across BSC internal operations.
- Balance multiple priorities while ensuring alignment with internal and external cross-functional teams.
- Adhere to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements.
- Communicate project status, escalate issues as necessary, and manage deliverables with technical resources to meet timelines.
- Ensure the quality and completeness of required technical documentation according to IS methodology and processes.
- Lead and drive resolution of technical issues, including problem diagnosis, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction.
- Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement system or application enhancements, recommending alternatives when multiple options are available.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 15+ Years of SAP Ariba, SCC and MM implementation experience
- Experience with 3-5 full life cycle implementations in SAP Ariba, SCC, MM
- Strong configuration and implementation skills in the areas of SAP Ariba, SCC, MM
- Strong understanding of SAP intercompany and intracompany processes. Experience with SAP ECC to S4 cross systems flow of goods will be advantageous.
- Understanding the integration with various SAP modules like QM, EWM and FI
- Experience in functional/implementation aspects of Ariba particularly focusing on areas such as Spend Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Procure, Invoicing, Expense, Pay, and eForms.
- Proficiency in defining data migration strategies for master and transactional data across upstream and downstream systems.
- Minimum of 3 full life cycle Ariba implementations encompassing Strategic sourcing, buying, commerce automation and supply chain collaboration
- Ariba integration with non-ERP systems SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA MM configuration, and Ariba-specific parameters, programs, and other functions SAP CIG add-on configuration
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
- Exceptional organizational & time management skills
- Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial
