About the role:

The Director, HRBP plays a vital role in providing leadership and internal consulting to assigned client groups; executes HR strategies and aligns them with business strategy to achieve business results. Drives employee engagement and optimizes people strategies. The role works at senior management level to provide consultative HR support. The role has an understanding of key human resources tools, programs and processes. The person in this role anticipates HR needs and is solutions oriented. This position supports organizational change associated with business improvement initiatives. This role reports to the VP of Operations for the site and is the site lead for human resources team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executes the achievement of HR strategies – aligning them to the critical needs of the business
  • Strong in HR analytics and leverages data to support change, inform decision making and identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and business performance
  • Works with senior leaders to coach performance and demonstrate effective grasp of BSC Leadership competencies and behaviors
  • Provides tools and counsel to management team on raising the bar on organization and individual performance, coaches on effective preparation and delivery of performance reviews
  • Works with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and management team to identify and develop key talent and successors
  • Educates and influences management team on workplace diversity and inclusion through internal and external tools or programs
  • Works with managers and Talent Acquisition to insure hiring and retention of best talent inclusive of growing representation of women in management and minority representation
  • Leverages work across functions to increase uniformity, efficiency and scalability of work (e.g., templates, presentations, surveys, tools, communications, etc.)
  • Introduces, leads and influences change management initiatives with organizational leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance
  • Coaches and consults with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps
  • Conducts and manages investigation of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate cross functional organizations as necessary
  • Acts as Team Member or Team Leader on various HR or business programs, projects, or teams
  • Acts as a resource and supports the development of HR colleagues
  • Establishes and supports a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Compliance and Quality Policies, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources working for complex, global organizations
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact
  • Strong HR technical competencies and demonstrated leadership competencies is required with a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Must be able to design practical solutions where no precedent may exist
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, and presentation skills, a thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Must possess excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from planning phase through completion
  • Has the ability to translate HR strategies, programs and solutions into a business case that represents ROI on people and programs to the business
