This position is responsible for the financial management of the Cardiac Rhythm, Diagnostics, and Patient Management Research and Development (R&D) project portfolio. This role will help guide investment and financial decisions and provide reporting and project fiduciary governance to cross-functional partners and finance leadership. As the Senior FP&A Analyst, you will collaborate closely with business partners to provide financial insights and support decision-making. This is a true business partner role, requiring strong technical capabilities and a demonstrated ability to advise and influence leaders to facilitate well-informed decisions. This is a full-time position, reporting to the FP&A Manager in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build relationships with business stakeholders to become a trusted financial advisor who provides financial expertise and guidance on investment decisions, cost management, and other financial matters
- Lead the functional budgeting and forecasting process by providing insights into project trends, cost drivers, and potential risks and opportunities
- Coordinate and consolidate the month end results for the function; provide analysis of the actual spend and variances to forecast and annual operating plan
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess functional and project performance; work with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to achieve financial and operational targets
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs and ensure financial strategies support organizational objectives
- Prepare and present financial reports and models to provide detailed analysis on R&D portfolio and project performance and operating efficiencies, leveraging financial insights to provide recommendations to Business Unit Leaders
- Identify financial risks within the business area and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies to safeguard the organization's financial health
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with 3+ years of relevant FP&A experience
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment autonomously while adhering to deadlines and having attention to detail
- Hybrid role based in Arden Hills, MN; ability to be in the office 3 days per week
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization
- Excellent computer skills (financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications:
- Higher education (MBA or CPA)
- Project management experience
- Hyperion Financial Management / SmartView and SAP experience a plus
- Tableau reporting experience
