The Enterprise Integrations Manager I provide direct supervision and tactical oversight to the integration team, including developers, analysts, and support staff. This role leads team activities, sets daily priorities, and coaches on the technical and administrative aspects of work to meet project schedules. The manager is responsible for the daily operational results of the team, requiring an understanding of various integration processes, procedures, systems, and concepts. Additionally, the manager implements operational excellence systems and tools and ensures safety practices and behaviors within the integration operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage integration solutions to connect various enterprise systems and applications.
  • Leads a team of global engineers, tech leads and solution designers to build capabilities that can meet business needs at speed and scale.
  • Lead integration projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for integration initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Ensure that integration processes and solutions are well-documented and maintainable.
  • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to develop and implement integration solutions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers.
  • Implement operational excellence systems and tools to optimize integration processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest integration technologies and trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the integration team, implementing best practices and staying abreast of technological advancements.
  • Ensure safety practices and behaviors within integration operations.

Supervision Received

Works under minimal supervision. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Supervision Provided

Provides direction and guidance to lower level subordinate supervisors or through experienced professional employees. Acts as an adviser to subordinates and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates.

Job Complexity

Works on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Must have a complete understanding of functional specialty and industry practices, techniques, and standards. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. May have budget responsibilities.

Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies. Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within the assigned unit. Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.

Manages projects of small to moderate scope including schedules, scope, costs and resources. May participate in cross-function teams.

Planning and Organization

Creates immediate to mid-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management. Schedules human and material resources within a group or section in conjunction with plans to ensure their availability; carries out operations within an established budget.

Impacts and contributes to business results and the long-term strategy of the integration function or sub-function. Guides using organizational area business plans and strategy, impacting the integration area or part of a sub-function.

Influence and Leadership

Influences managers and leaders to act or adopt recommendations important to the achievement of integration goals. Negotiates effectively with external partners, vendors, and customers. Builds consensus in leading cross-division, region, or project teams and/or initiatives. Develops and stewards external relationships and networks to advance enterprise integration priorities.

Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction and adoption by the targeted audience/markets. Develops and executes strategy and budget/P&L to achieve key integration objectives. Directs and sets business, technical, and operating standards for the integration team or department. and new technology to meet evolving business needs.

Liaison

Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, functional peer groups and/or customers. Interacts with various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific projects, operations, or schedules. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others. Collaborates with the global team of Managers, Sr Architects and Product Teams to identify, plan and execute on the vitality needs of the platform, upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in IT, with a focus on systems integration.
  • Proven experience with integration platforms and APIs.
  • People management experience, including leading and mentoring team members.
  • Strong understanding of integration tools, technologies, patterns and practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based integration services (AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
