**This role accommodates for hybrid work arrangement (three days per week onsite) at our Maple Grove, MN location**
About the role:
The Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) role is responsible for executing the Medical Affairs strategy, specifically for the Peripheral Arterial portfolio to support device education and adoption specific to clinical use, clinical data, and clinical impact for Health Care Providers (HCPs). The MAM will identify and collaborate with HCPs to amplify clinical data, improve educational efforts, promote the proper use of therapies, and provide strategic insights to BSC. Additionally, the MAM will work with senior management at BSC to align priorities and act as a liaison between Clinical Affairs, Marketing, R&D, and Program Management. The MAM will also lead the strategy for major scientific meeting symposia in line with strategic goals and build relationships with the leadership of key societies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate key interactions with national “Key Opinion Leader” (KOL) physician customers and Boston Scientific through defined corporate strategies.
- Understand how we are collaborating with our key physicians across functions and be an internal resource for this information.
- Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the industry, expert speakers, and well-known academicians who can deliver the defined curriculum and provide technical and clinical insight with real-world applications.
- Expand the involvement of KOLs in providing feedback to support the evidence planning process and to identify and prioritize clinical evidence needs.
- Collaborate across Medical, Clinical, and Health Economics & Market Access leads to support the evidence planning and evidence generation strategy.
- Maintain communication cadence with Key Opinion Leaders between events/congresses to help BSC achieve its goals and objectives.
- Ensure Key Opinion Leaders and podium influencers have the most up-to-date clinical data and pipeline information to enable fair and accurate representation of BSC clinical evidence at relevant scientific meetings and educational conferences.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of relevant symposia and sponsored educational events at major and regional conferences.
- Support the Medical Education team in content development, aligning technology and therapy objectives, and preparing faculty for BSC-sponsored events.
- Serve as a liaison for clinical trial execution, including site selection, physician training, and procedural support, as needed.
- Effectively communicate clinical study data to physicians and internal stakeholders, requiring a comprehensive understanding of trial design, data analysis, and clinical application of the data.
- Interact with Clinical, Marketing, Sales Leadership, Senior Management and other key functions, act as a catalyst to cross functional collaboration.
- Address clinical questions related to clinical research and investigator-sponsored research opportunities, connecting the site/KOL to the appropriate channels. Support Steering Committee meetings and Advisory Boards.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare or a related field required
- Minimum 8 years of medical marketing/clinical/sales experience (cardiovascular, peripheral, and/or interventional with pharma or biologics industry experience preferred)
- Will include travel (50%) to medical meetings, hospitals, and/or other BSC facilities
Preferred qualifications:
- Extensive customer-facing experience and ability to develop strong KOL relationships required
- Demonstrates outstanding strategic thinking abilities
- Proven experience as a Medical, Scientific or Clinical Affairs Manager, Medical Device Sales and/or Marketing, Market Development, Medical Education
- Experience in interpreting and communicating clinical data with internal and external stakeholders and physicians
- Must have the ability to manage simultaneous priorities, changing deadlines, and limited resources
