Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity to join BlackBerry’s global People team in Dusseldorf on a fixed term contract basis (12-14 months, maternity cover).
As part of BlackBerry’s global People Team, you’ll be more than just an HR professional — you’ll be a trusted advisor and strategic partner for employees and managers across Germany and the wider EMEA region. This hybrid role blends the expertise of an HR Business Partner with the hands-on precision of an HR Operations Specialist, giving you the opportunity to shape both global People programs and local initiatives that truly enhance the employee experience. You’ll play a pivotal role in the employee lifecycle, ensuring our People strategies align with business goals while fostering a culture where employees thrive.

You will:
Champion People programs: talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and rewards.
Partner with employees and leaders to guide policies, employee relations, and compliance.
Bring local expertise: ensure programs align with German labour law and EMEA practices.
Use data and analytics to drive workforce planning and uncover actionable insights.
Manage employee lifecycle events, documentation, and HRIS transactions (Workday).
Lead change: support communication and transformation initiatives across regions.
You will have:
Proven HR experience across Operations and Business Partner/Generalist roles.
A degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
HRIS experience (Workday is a plus).
Strong knowledge of German labour law and EMEA employment practices.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Languages: German & English (French would be an asset but not essential)
