POSITION OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Assistant Vice President Digital Product Delivery, the Delivery Lead will be responsible for the evolution and sustainment of an optimal delivery management of the
‘Channels & Marketing’ product family, building on current foundations and leveraging agile practices.

Providing leadership and guidance to the teams, the incumbent will facilitate the deliveries within his own family of products coordinating with all teams involved. The incumbent will be responsible for the proper functioning of his family of digital products, including deployments, maintenance, support, and incident management, in collaboration with IT operational groups. The incumbent will be also responsible for building and evolving performant and autonomous teams in collaboration with functional managers of teams’ members in a matrix environment, ensuring they have the right skills to meet the organization needs.

BDC's IT sector is undergoing significant transformation and has the objective of modernizing its development and testing practices while delivering a significant number of transformational projects at the Business and IT level. This position requires an experienced leader who will contribute to that transformation, while acting as a change agent for the teams and colleagues.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

· Is accountable for digital product deliveries for a family of products; facilitates the delivery cadence, the management of the product releases & teams’ dependencies.

· Is responsible for improving and implementing the mechanisms and tools to better track and communicate BDC’s digital product releases.

· Facilitate the incidents resolution and problems management requiring the team's involvement in accordance with the agreed service levels, while escalating critical incidents if required.

· Works in collaboration with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure that his teams deliver the roadmap adequately, as frequently as possible, and that they adequately advise on its optimal implementation.

· Works to optimize and simplify the processes surrounding the management of our digital products, including the identification of bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.

· Provides visibility on team budgets, costs, capacity, risks and issues across its product family based on team metrics in order to establish consistent ways of working.

· Assists and facilitates team estimates.

· Works jointly with functional managers to ensure that team composition aligns with needs, including identification of proficiency, expertise, resource gaps, recruiting, training.

· Establishes strong relationships with the Information Technology Management teams and key Business and Functional partners.

· Support the organization’s technological practices and associated processes within the teams.

· Works upstream with architects (Enterprise and Solutions) and the Product Managers and Owners to define the technological roadmap of their products.

· Applies a data-driven approach to decision-making, both in day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoff analyses. Measures the improvement in maturity, quality, predictability, and delivery as adoption of agile practices increases to ensure that required performance measures are met.

· Fosters servant leadership, increasing the autonomy and empowerment of teams and by eliminating obstacles not handled by the teams. Cultivates an atmosphere of stability, productivity, and trust.

· Manages teams’ performance, development and engagement, building a culture that supports learning, collaboration, transparency and inclusiveness.

· Collaborates with functional managers and other matrix leaders regarding individual performance management and career development of the product family team members, ensuring alignment with the teams' objectives.

· Contributes to the evolution and improvement of Agile and DevSecOps practices in the organization, in collaboration with practice leaders.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· At least 10 years of experience leading in a matrix environment, influencing and building strong relationships.

· Expertise in all aspects of Agile Team Facilitation. Certifications are an asset.

· Proficiency in multiple delivery toolchains including Azure Devops, Confluence, and Miro.

· Bachelor's degree in IT or in a relevant discipline.

· Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an asset.

· Strong talent management skills including a high degree of emotional intelligence, talent development, coaching, mentoring, and teams’ motivation.

· Passion for and demonstrated success in building new products, capabilities, solutions, and teams.

· Experience in management with agile and product management roles.

· Strong proven experience and problem-solving skills while maintaining a view of the ‘big picture’ and the strategic organizational goals.

· Strong organizational skills, ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for teams.

· Strong business acumen and ability to understand and drive business objectives.

· Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships.

· Excellent stakeholder management skills, diplomacy and negotiation skills.

· Adaptability and ability to manage rapid changes in business needs, processes, or technologies.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
