Our Venture Capital team invests in high-potential businesses and supports the development of Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through strategic capital, operational expertise, and deep market insights.

About the Fund Operations & Analytics Team

We are responsible for the operational backbone of BDC’s fund investments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and insight in everything we do. Our team manages fund administration, reporting, analytics, and process improvement, supporting investment decisions and portfolio management.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Operations & Fund Administration

  • Assist in the documentation of capital calls and distributions notices.

  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of new and existing partnership documentation

  • Help maintain the fund parameters and investor commitments in our portfolio management software (iLevel).

  • Organize documents in SharePoint and Affinity, including pipeline materials.

  • Support the fair value exercise for portfolio funds.

  • Respond to GP operational inquiries and action call/distribution notices.

Process Improvement & Training

  • Contribute to updating process guides and enhancing workflows.

  • Participate in team discussions on improving operational efficiency.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Assist in developing business metrics, benchmark indicators, and trending reports.

  • Support quarterly reporting, manager scoring, and deal flow analysis.

  • Contribute to building portfolio dashboards and to thought leadership.

General Team Support

  • Join team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and ongoing projects aligned with strategic priorities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Completion of at least one year of university studies in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, and registered to continue studies in Fall 2026.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Bilingualism in French and English required.

  • Interest in venture capital/private equity funds is an asset.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • This internship is based in Montreal and is for 4 months (January–April 2026), with the possibility of renewal at the end of the term.
