POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Advisor, Strategy Implementation supports the Regional Director, Strategy Implementation in developing the strategic and tactical plans for their region. The incumbent also monitors the deployment of these plans in each Business Centre across the region and works on a regular basis with front line leaders to facilitate appropriate action, based on key performance indicators. In addition, the Senior Advisor, Strategy Implementation is responsible for planning, supervising and implementing any corporate or regional initiatives at the Business Centre level, ensuring progress and adjustments are made, as needed.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Planning, Visibility, Operational excellence
Plan, support and implement the deployment of corporate and regional initiatives, including sector strategies and transformation plans; manage projects and initiatives, deliver training programs to BCMs and BDLs as required, monitor progress and performance closely and recommend adjustments, as needed
Support Business Centre Managers in developing and implementing a market presence plan tailored to their market reality and built around an exceptional client experience; provide information, data and insights to the teams to develop and deploy a targeted go-to-market strategy; monitor progress on the various initiatives and provide recommendations
Identify and interpret changes in operational trends in terms of key indicators and communicate/recommend measures to management on a regional, area and/or Business Center level
Stimulate best practice sharing amongst the teams, in and outside the region, to support continuous improvement efforts
Keep abreast of the economic situation and trends in targeted industries
Learning, Resources & Communication
Proactively develop scalable learning solutions with regional partners and incorporate learning components in projects and initiatives to continuously upskills the teams and enhance the BDLs Development Banker mindset
Promote, leverage and act as a subject-matter expert on tools & resources available to the teams, including BDC’s systems (Power BI, CLICS, mobility tool, etc.) and national or regional initiatives, e.g., Client Experience (interpretation of survey results, development of action plan)
Communicate and share updates with front line leaders on the various initiatives
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, administration or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
Ability to manage and coordinate a range of projects, project teams and initiatives
Analytical skills
In-depth understanding of BDC’s activities (products & services, processes, systems, reports, tools and business development practice) and competitive landscape
Coaching skills
Change agent able to clearly communicate objectives
Good judgment, diplomacy and discretion
Ability to quickly understand the organizational issues and vision
Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, including the recording of some sessions for training purposes
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and to exercise direct influence on them
Strong written and communication skills in English are required
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required
