POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Digital Products Delivery, the Director, Digital Products Delivery is a strategic role within the IT department. This individual structures, oversees, and improves digital delivery, including Lean-Agile methodologies. They collaborate with and support Delivery

Leads in executing and enhancing their practices, and be responsible of a team comprised of a Manager, Agile Delivery, including Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches. The role promotes delivery efficiency in a hybrid project & product, matrix, and multidisciplinary environment by leveraging streamlined processes, effective tools, and a culture of continuous improvement.

BDC’s IT department is undergoing a significant transformation with the goal of modernizing its development and testing practices while executing a large number of business and IT transformation projects. This position requires an experienced leader who will contribute to this transformation while acting as a change agent for teams and colleagues.

We are looking for a leader who is deeply committed to enhancing the value delivered to BDC’s clients and employees, upholding BDC’s cultural standards, and who demonstrates a passion for the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Be jointly responsible for delivery alongside delivery leaders (cadence, go-live, dependencies), as well as for harmonizing and improving delivery practices.

  • Enhance the orchestration of product families and platforms.

  • Improve mechanisms and tools for tracking and communicating digital deliveries.

  • Provide a consolidated view of budgets, capacities, risks, and issues across matrixed teams.

  • Optimize and simplify delivery-related processes.

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in delivery workflows.

  • Improve the quality of team estimates and the accuracy of planning.

  • Work closely with the Lean-Agile Lead to define, align, guide, and evolve Lean-Agile delivery practices with Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters.

  • Support effective management of software contracts and RFPs.

  • Oversee consultant contracts for the team and allocate consultants to specific transformation and support mandates.

  • Support incident and problem management in collaboration with other leaders and the delivery leaders.

  • Participate in change management efforts to increase adoption of identified improvements.

  • Coordinate training, recruitment, and coaching needs for the team.

  • Make data-driven decisions and measure Lean-Agile delivery maturity.

  • Promote servant leadership and strengthen the autonomy of matrix teams.

  • Support the shift toward a product-oriented team structure and evolve associated practices.

  • Manage career development and individual performance of team members.

  • Actively collaborate with leadership in architecture, PMO, InfoSec, data, software engineering, and infrastructure.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is an asset.

  • 15 years of experience in IT leadership, including 5 years in a matrixed environment.

  • 5 years as a Lean-Agile leader with team responsibilities (Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters).

  • Proven experience in delivery within hybrid and evolving environments.

  • Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence and Miro. Power BI is an asset.

  • Hands-on experience applying agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Disciplined Agile, etc. Certifications are an asset.

  • Excellent talent management and transformational leadership skills.

  • Strong ability to solve complex problems with a strategic vision.

  • Stakeholder management and political acumen.

  • Strong business sense and excellent communication skills.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
