POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you a creative person, problem solver and have the ability to see the big picture? BDC is looking for a Senior Copywriter who will be responsible for writing high-quality copy, from concept to execution, respecting the tone and guidelines of the BDC brand. As part of the Creative Services team, you will collaborate with multiple internal teams and external agencies to deliver best-in-class brand and creative experiences. You will also be responsible for developing, writing, editing video content and directing shoots.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Create concepts and write messages for digital advertising campaigns (banners, social media, landing pages)
Edit and participate in the design of content in close collaboration with the social media team.
Develop, write and edit video content for the YouTube channel, and be present on sets.
Collaborate closely with our graphic designers on high-level concepts and final executions.
Develop creative strategies for different initiatives or campaigns and present the concepts.
Initiate and maintain good relationships with internal teams and external agencies to maintain an integrated approach in the design and production of advertising materials.
Act as the guardian of the brand's voice by promoting and ensuring its proper use.
Understand current and future product offerings and formulate clear value propositions about them in order to promote them.
Clarify complex topics in easy-to-understand language.
Ensure that advertising content is properly adapted or translated from English to French and vice versa.
Maintain relationships with external suppliers (copywriters, revisers, translators, etc.).
Stay up to date on best practices and trends in advertising, content and social media.
Actively participate in daily ceremonies and weekly team meetings.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other related field
Minimum of 10 years of copywriting experience in the field of marketing and communications (in-house or agency)
Exceptional grammar, spelling, and sentence structuring skills
Excellent ability to craft compelling narratives that drive engagement and action
Attention to detail
Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, while taking responsibility for your work
Excellent ability to present ideas and concepts
Great listening skills and a willingness to learn and grow through feedback
Experience in brand management and/or advertising creation
Excellent understanding of French and English.
