POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Analyst, National Portfolio Team, contributes to updating BDC’s loan portfolio by ensuring the proper execution of loan management activities and completes service requests and annual reviews of low and medium complexity.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Ensure that all loan management activities identified as low and medium complexity are carried out and track outstanding elements of files in accordance with BDC's audit policies, procedures, and directives.
Track outstanding items to ensure that available customer information is up to date (e.g., status receipt record, account relationship analysis, etc.).
Prepare letters and send them to the persons concerned (e.g., renewal of interest, credit note, etc.).
Proceed to requests for services that require little diligence and annual reviews in files of $ 350,000 or less.
Review the financial statements, complete financial analysis and actively address situations where risk potentials are identified.
Be a reference point for insurance related questions and ensure that client’s insurance requirements are renewed in a timely manner.
Evaluate low and medium requests and offer proactive solutions to restructure agreements that minimize risk and mitigate losses in collaboration with the Credit Risk Management Team, the business centres and other internal colleagues.
Maintain good relationships with Business Centre staff, co-workers, and internal partners to foster good team spirit, the pursuit of common objectives and the consistent application of policies.
Keep abreast of changes in detailed policies, procedures, and processes, as well as trends in credit and regulatory matters that may have an impact.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or any relevant field
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector
Knowledge of products, services, policies and procedures in the banking sector (commercial loans), particularly in credit risk management
Good organizational skills and ability to set priorities, perform high-volume tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to deal proactively with problem situations in his or her field of intervention
Ability to work autonomously
Proven ability to demonstrate flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bilingualism (English and French) is mandatory.
