POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manager, Platform as a service, the Release Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of application releases developed by the Applications Services team. This person will be responsible for the promotion of developed assets from the test environments to the production environment. This involves the coordination of many contributors from the development and infrastructure teams, and the use of a rigorous change control framework.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Create and coordinate the implementation plans and ensure their successful delivery.
Coordinate the impediments’ resolutions in the test environments (QA and Pre-Prod).
Present the release implementations to the CAB (change advisory board).
Coordinate the environment assignments.
Support all the development teams in the troubleshooting and debugging of their solutions.
Assure the availability of multiple development and test environments.
Deploy all the new application solutions into their respective environments.
Support Operations team in troubleshooting in PROD post deliveries.
Support other team members in release-related activities.
Contribute to the Automation of solution deployment.
Be open to working flexible hours. Not all release problems can be solved 9-5
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required skills and experience include:
Good working knowledge of the core infrastructure technologies, including : Virtualization (VMware), Networking, Active Directory, Exchange, etc.
Experience working on a DevOps Environment
Experience working with Azure Devops
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service focus
Good knowledge of agile development practices
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent time management skills
Excellent business focused analytical skills
Beneficial skills, qualifications or experience:
Microsoft System Center suites (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM)
Microsoft CRM Dynamics
Microsoft certifications
