ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for someone with a solid technical background in cloud software development practices, with the willingness to learn new technologies and understanding existing solutions while focusing on the customer's business needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and implement them using best practices in cloud architecture and software engineering.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering features using cloud technologies.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of creativity.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and services using AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Implement scalable and reliable architectures for distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and debug cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Defines model interfaces/formats to interact with external services.
• Works to become a subject matter expert in one or more area software engineering May have a specific focus in one or more of the following: designs, deploys, and supports best in class software, development processes and software development tools.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on cloud-based applications
• Hands on experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or Python.
• Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Experience with AWS fully managed services including Athena, Dynamo DB, Lambda Functions, S3, and SQS
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture
• Front end including React
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
