About AttoTude, The World's First THz Radio Over Wire

AttoTude is at the forefront of revolutionizing data centers through advanced interconnect technology based on wired THz transceivers. By adapting the fiber from photonics and advancing today's ASICs to THz, our innovative AttoEngine eliminates networking bottlenecks, enabling high-speed interconnects for AI data centers.

Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the development, industrialization, and scale-up of advanced manufacturing processes for THz wires, precision alignment, connectors, and silicon interposer technologies.

This role is responsible for defining scalable, high-yield manufacturing processes from early development through volume ramp, partnering with R&D, CMs, fabs, and equipment vendors. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, rapid problem-solving, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams that deliver robust, cost-effective solutions on aggressive datacenter timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Scalable Process Development & Industrialization

  • Develop robust, manufacturable processes for THz wire alignment, connector assembly, and jacket application.
  • Lead rapid prototyping, iteration, and process validation to accelerate learning cycles and ensure scalability.
  • Define alignment tolerances, datum structures, and design rules to meet mechanical and electrical requirements.
  • Partner with suppliers and CMs to accelerate process readiness, qualification, and ramp.

Silicon Interposer & Wafer-Level Processes

  • Lead development and industrialization of silicon interposer technologies, including innovative deposition and etching processes.
  • Collaborate with R&D, fabs, OSATs, and equipment vendors to optimize process flows, critical parameters, and wafer handling.
  • Establish process windows, SPC, and yield improvement programs in parallel with development.

Manufacturing Scale-Up & Deployment

  • Execute NPI using a build-while-designing, fail-fast approach, from pilot builds through volume ramp.
  • Implement lightweight yet effective manufacturing controls to balance speed, quality, and cost.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing, supply chain, and capacity risks.

Equipment & Precision Tooling Enablement

  • Specify, design, and qualify high-accuracy bonding, alignment, and automation equipment.
  • Drive automation and vision-assisted solutions for precise wire, jacket, and connector assembly.
  • Lead equipment acceptance, process qualification, and continuous optimization.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Hire, mentor, and lead a high-velocity manufacturing engineering team.
  • Set technical direction, performance expectations, and rapid problem-solving standards.
  • Serve as the manufacturing interface across R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Datacenter Infrastructure teams.
  • Shape manufacturing strategy to support rapid scaling and high-volume deployment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, Microfabrication, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, or precision hardware environments.
  • 5+ years of engineering team leadership.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, high-speed manufacturing programs.
  • Expertise in at least two of the following:
    • Precision bonding and alignment systems
    • THz/fiber wire jackets and connector assemblies
    • Silicon wafer processes include innovative depositions and etching technics
  • Strong ability to industrialize new technologies for high-volume manufacturing.

Key Competencies

  • Rapid, high-velocity execution and urgency
  • Development of scalable, manufacturable processes
  • Engineering team leadership and talent development
  • Advanced manufacturing and wafer-level industrialization
  • Matrix leadership and technical influence across R&D and manufacturing partners
  • CM, fab, and OSAT partnership management
  • Yield, reliability, and cost optimization
