Software Test Team Lead carries management responsibilities for a group of testing engineers; responsible for segments of the planning, design, and execution of tests and is expected to provide professional and technical leadership for the group, raise risks, suggest mitigations and make decisions

What will your job look like?

• Leads, mentors small teams of functional, automation and nonfunctional testing within a specific project orproduct; Ensures all the project agreed deliverables are completed to the required level of quality andpromotes team engagement and motivation.
• Provides technical & professional leadership to the testing team members by means of coaching andmentorship throughout of the testing lifecycle to achieve project goals to the required level of expertise andquality; Keeps all informed on assignments, project status.
• Provides input to on the test estimations; Plans resource needs and ensures effective task allocation.
• Plans testing activities milestones;Identifies and analyzes risks and their potential business impact todetermine proper prioritization of the testing activities; Suggests and handles mitigations and escalations aspart of risk assessment
• ensures integrative coverage of test scenarios
• Effectively leads formal and informal reviews with stakeholders, applying experience and knowledgeproviding technical and managerial perspective
• Acts as technical interface with other teams to resolve and promote issues, communicate plans andconclusions as well as recommendations for issue closure.
• Work closely with the technical peers (e.g., designers, architects), to identify potential risks technical orbusiness (e.g., performance, business process prone to fail, inefficiencies).
• Supports and promotes test efficiency and optimization initiatives; Leverages knowledge across teststeams, implementation of best practices and test automation usage.
• Enforces quality processes (such as performing technical root cause analysis and outlining correctiveaction for given problems), measures them and takes corrective actions in case of variances; Conductsregularly and upon issues resolution, leasson learnt and root cause analysis and ensuresrecommendations’ implementation.
  
  

All you need is...

• 2+ years of Leading Experience
• 5+ years of experience in SW testing, depth knowledge of testing tools and methodologies.
• Coordinate and perform test execution activities, including implementation of test automation procedures and scripts.
• Should be strong in SQL using any of Databases ( MS SQL Server /Oracle)
• Experience in analyzing business specification documents, understand existing Test Cases and defining Automating Test Scripts.
• Extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), methodologies and test processes and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC Sanity, Functional & Regression testing.).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, Good team player & excellent learner.
• Ability to work independently on tasks/modules assigned for testing and if required ready to stretch to support timely delivery.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and SQL is a must.
• Be a mentor for new team members, leverage knowledge across test Implementations and projects, and defines the best use/ reuse of testing tools and best practices. Support and promote test efficiency and optimization initiatives.
• Correctness and compliance to both internal standards and client needs.
• Use the latest technologies such as AWS, micro-service architecture, MongoDB, Java, Python, etc.
• Work closely with developers Product Owners & Scrum Masters to review product
• Facilitate the tracking of Bugs and Enhancements (via JIRA and applicable tools)
• Working experience with DevOps/Agile methodologies. Document and stay in sync with quality processes following a CI/CD methodology
• Significant experience in understanding large-scale application architecture/design, integration architecture, application deployment methods, automation, testing, compliance, auditing
• Added advantage - Gen AI testing, DevOps tools and processes, Automation experience.
