Purpose of Role...

Vubiquity licenses and delivers content to the major OTT providers, Netflix, Google, Amazon, iTunes, on behalf of major US studios, such as Warner Bros and MGM, as well as to individual client platforms across North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

This role will focus on the delivery and management of Vubiquity’s cloud infrastructure related to Vubiquity’s Products and Solutions which provide these services, predominately AWS, with a small Azure footprint.

The Dev Ops Engineer works closely with the Engineering team to ensure a true Dev Ops culture is being applied across all teams, to achieve positive results for the business.

Dev Ops Engineers need to stay up to date with the evolution of Dev Ops processes and tools in order to effectively participate within the Dev Ops team and culture within the organization.

What will your job look like?

• Develop automation to deliver cloud infrastructure, currently using Terraform and internally developed components integrated with build and deploy tools.
• When required upgrade tools within Dev Ops processes to prevent out of support usage.
• Support cloud environment in case of issues, ensuring any service impacting outages are resolved quickly.
• Follow defined Dev Ops processes, including partnering with the Engineering to identify improvements.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure and working practices comply with security guidelines.
• Ensure documentation is relevant and kept up to date.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver tasks to project timelines, ensuring progress is clearly communicated to stakeholders.
• Work to ensure metrics and goals defined for the Dev Ops team are achieved.
• Pro-actively identify ways in which to keep up to date with technical advancements within Dev Ops.

• 5-7 years working in a Dev Ops team.
• Demonstrable experience of working with AWS cloud resources and tools.
• Understanding of the software design and development lifecycle.
• Understanding of security guidelines and practices.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
