What will your job look like?
- Provide engineering expertise to fix, modify and engineer software solutions and configurations, to ensure that the product/solution performs within efficient design specifications.
- Investigate, debug and reproduce issues, provide fixes and workarounds, and verify changes to ensure continued operability of the software solution.
- Contribute to and support the automation of multiple parts of infrastructure and deployment systems, strive to improve and shorten processes to enable engineering and operations teams to work smarter and faster
- Collaborate with related Product/Account Development teams to drive automation of Configuration Management, Build, Release, Deployment and Monitoring processes, including instruction for the team on the developed tools
- Work with Delivery and Development to create integration and continuity of the code, demonstrating a holistic view of the working environments
- Provide professional support for the developed automations, respond to incidents to proactively prevent system outages and ensure environments availability to meet SLAs
- Participate in the integration between Product/Account infrastructure system and non-Amdocs infrastructure systems
- Stay up-to-date in industry best practices and contribute ideas for improvements in DevOps practices
- Contribute to innovation through automation to enable standard deployable units of infrastructure through multiple environments until production
- Adopt and implement new technology in account/product life cycle
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience as a Software Support Engineer
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting lifecycle management tools (BitBucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Azure).
- Experience with Azure and Kubernetes as essential skills. if any other cloud platform is welcome, if you want to work in Azure with us.
- 2-4 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Proficient in CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, BitBucket, Nexus.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools.
- 2-4 years of script development experience in common languages (Python, Groovy, Bash).
- IT experience in building, releasing, deploying, and monitoring cloud-based scalable distributed systems.
- Proficient in monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with third-party tools like Postgres, Cassandra, Helm, Groovy.
- You will be responsible for the integration between a major product infrastructure system and the Amdocs infrastructure system, driving automation helping teams work smarter and faster.
