About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with experience in cloud technologies, database management, and microservices architecture. This role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting data pipelines, working with cloud-based data platforms, and managing large-scale production environments. You will also be responsible for on-call production support, including nights and weekends, ensuring system availability, stability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- System Reliability & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, analyze failures, and provide fast and accurate solutions.
- Production Support & Incident Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve production incidents, including implementing temporary workarounds and long-term fixes.
- On-Call & Weekend Support: Provide night and weekend on-call support to ensure uninterrupted system availability.
- Defect Analysis & Fixes: Collaborate with business architects, testers, and Tier 2 support teams to analyze defects and deploy rapid fixes.
- Scalability & Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for performance tuning, system stability, and cloud efficiency.
- Communication & Coordination: Keep team members, GL/PM, and stakeholders informed about critical issues and resolutions.
- Tool Development: Build automation tools to improve efficiency in production support and troubleshooting.
- Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain ETL processes using Snowflake & ScyllaDB.
- Backend Development: Build scalable microservices in Java.
- Cloud & Containers: Deploy Kubernetes-based applications for optimal performance.
- CI/CD & Monitoring: Utilize Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk for automation and system monitoring.
- Database Management: Optimize performance for Oracle, Snowflake, and ScyllaDB.
- Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for data protection and cloud security.
- Programming: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring and Python.
- Cloud & Data Expertise: Hands-on experience with Snowflake, ScyllaDB, Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) and Couchbase
- ETL Development: Proven ability to build and scale data pipelines.
- DevOps & Automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud security.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Expertise in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics/OTEL, and Splunk
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure.
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or related field.
