We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager to lead the contingent workforce category across the United States and CALA regions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in category management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional results.

What will your job look like?

  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive category plans for the contingent workforce, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and sourcing strategies.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high service levels, manage contractual obligations, and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Cost Management: Drive significant and sustainable cost reductions through strategic sourcing, effective negotiations, and innovative procurement practices.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of industry trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive pricing, providing insights to inform decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the contingent workforce category, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, legal, and finance teams, to understand their needs and ensure alignment with category strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of category strategies and supplier performance, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the contingent workforce category, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.

All you need is...

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with contingent workforce management practices, supplier management, and relevant technologies (mandatory).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on contingent workforce or related categories.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Managerial Skills: Proven managerial skills, including team leadership, performance management, and the ability to motivate and develop team members (mandatory).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed within the US and CALA regions.
