Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced contractor with strong U.S. Customs expertise to support critical activities within the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). This role will focus on filing protests in ACE and supporting entry uploads tied to upcoming refund process enhancements.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on ACE experience, deep familiarity with customs regulations, and a proven track record of successfully managing protest filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file protests within the ACE system in compliance with U.S. Customs requirements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all protest submissions
- Support mass upload of customs entries in ACE related to refund processes as new functionality becomes available
- Validate entry data prior to upload to minimize errors and rejections
- Monitor submission statuses and troubleshoot filing issues within ACE
- Collaborate with internal teams (compliance, trade, finance) to gather required documentation
- Maintain organized records of filings, submissions, and supporting documentation
- Stay current on ACE updates, CBP regulations, and process changes impacting protest filings and refunds
Required Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience using ACE (Automated Commercial Environment)
- Direct experience filing protests in ACE (required)
- Strong understanding of customs entries, classifications, and post-entry processes
- Experience handling high-volume data uploads or entry processing
- High attention to detail and accuracy in regulatory filings
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with bulk data handling tools or integration workflows
- Prior experience supporting system rollouts or new functionality within ACE
