The Services Project Manager EMEA is a customer-facing role whose function is the end-to-end management of variety of customer-facing projects. The Services Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering of customer projects in the EMEA region, including services such as build activities, software updates, network enhancements or site surveys and acts according the PMI standard.
Principle duties and essential functions
Coordinating multiple Adtran functions in the delivery and installation of complex (turn-key) technical projects for large enterprises and carriers
Working closely with all relevant Adtran functions (Account Management Team, System Consulting, Manufacturing, Technical Service and Sales Operations)
Managing the project from the pre-sales opportunity phase, site survey, product and service delivery, installation and commissioning, and the provision of post-sales service and support
Being hands-on and paying high attention to detail in carrying out the coordination of all resources to deliver a total quality customer solution
Negotiating all operational delivery aspects, scope and statements of work for the project deliverables
Comprehensive and professional project planning: activities, schedule, milestones, resources plan, cost and risk assessment
Project communication and documentation, reporting and quality assurance
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Fluent English
Technical and Project Management background
Demonstrated leadership / execution skills (3 years+) with international exposure
Familiarity with the mode of operation of enterprises, telecom carriers & vendors
Practical, pragmatic and pro-active approach to work
Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated creative solutions. (“out of the box”)
Team player with conflict resolution skills coupled with advanced communication skills
Successful track record in the installation and commissioning of high technology customer turnkey solutions
Proven ability in the use of modern project management software and techniques
Experience in motivating a team to take a rigorous project management approach
The ability to create transparent change control processes which capture all customer technical and solution requirements within an evolving environment
Excellent customer-facing and influencing skills
The willingness and aptitude to quickly become conversant with the Adtran technologies and their platforms
Product know-how on Adtran product lines and networking such as SDX, Mosaic CP, WDM, SDH, IP, OSA is an advantage
PMI certification, although not required, is desirable
