About this role:
We are looking for a Senior Solution Consultant to support our Edge Cloud Business Development team and regional technical sales organizations. This role plays a critical part in shaping customer solutions by providing expert input on solution architecture, network design, and tender responses for opportunities based on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Key Responsibilities
Support Sales teams with customer presentations, demonstrations, training, trials, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) during pre-sales and offer phases
Act as a solution design specialist, translating complex customer requirements into optimized NFV-based network architectures
Conduct network studies and solution designs, balancing technical feasibility, product availability, margin, and competitiveness of Adtran solutions
Serve as design authority for large-scale or complex projects, including those involving pre-General Availability (pre-GA) product releases
Collaborate closely with Product Line Management (PLM) and R&D to support pre-GA solutions and provide structured market feedback, including feature requests and statements of requirements
Contribute to high-quality tender responses and technical proposals
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field)
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, OpenStack, and communications networks
Solid knowledge of IP/Ethernet and networking technologies
Experience with OSS/BSS and general systems integration concepts
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and short response times
Proven capability to make fast, autonomous decisions and work independently
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment, with flexibility to travel worldwide on short notice
Skilled in producing professional documentation and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
