Senior Project Manager / Release Train Engineer plays a pivotal, hybrid role in orchestrating the efforts of multiple development teams within the Software Platform’s In-Home Management group to deliver high-quality SaaS products. This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex software projects and releases, from strategic planning and execution to successful market introduction, operating within a SAFe/Agile environment.
You will own project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Project Manager:
Own end-to-end project delivery, including scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, and quality.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of program increments, ensuring that all teams are synchronized and working towards common goals.
Develop, maintain, and execute integrated project plans aligned with business strategy and release objectives.
Lead project execution across multiple Agile teams, ensuring dependencies and cross-team risks are actively managed.
Drive alignment between business objectives, product roadmap, and delivery commitments.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when necessary.
Coordinate with Product Management, Architecture, and R&D to support go/no-go decisions and release readiness.
Provide clear, timely, and transparent communication on delivery status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to stakeholders and executive leadership, ensuring alignment across the Agile Release Train.
Monitor and communicate flow metrics, and value realization across the ART, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve execution, quality, and cross-team collaboration.
Release Train Engineer:
Facilitate key SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt.
Help identify and remove systemic impediments that impact multiple teams or the ART.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency across teams.
Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile and SAFe principles as needed.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years managing software development projects, with hands-on Agile experience (working as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer).
Expertise in planning, execution, risk and dependency management, and aligning delivery with business strategy and value realization.
Strong technical understanding of software development practices with the ability to challenge and guide development teams.
Deep knowledge of SAFe principles, practices, and roles; Experience in facilitating SAFe ceremonies is a plus.
Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks, resolve complex issues, and drive high-quality results.
Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement and track record of continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Skilled in conflict resolution and removing team obstacles.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Fluent in English language.
